Posting a Project Using the Form

Finding the right freelancer is this easy...

1. To post a project to the list, put your requirements in the form fields below. See the tips below, for more guidance, or read the FAQ for answers to the most common questions.

Fields marked with a red asterisk * are required fields.

Your Business E-Mail Address: *

This really must be a valid e-mail address. This is where you will receive responses from interested freelancers. Please double-check your entry.

Your name:

Company:

Subject line: * (50 characters max)

Need:

Project description,*
duration, location, your URL, etc.

Skill and experience requirements or other additional information

Optional: phone

Forwards:

Forwards OK No forwards
OK, no agencies OK, no agencies, no other lists
This tells members whether they may forward your post to people they know, or to other e-mail lists, and whether you want replies from agencies who might receive your post as a result.

Please type the number you see in the image below into the text box.

*

Please double-check your information above, especially the required fields, before clicking the "Finish" button.

Please click once and give it a minute.

2. Your posting is approved by a volunteer list maintainer, then distributed to members on the fs-discuss and fs-projects lists.

3. Interested, qualified freelancers will respond directly to you. There are no commissions for either party.

Tips for a successful project posting:

  • Please use a descriptive subject line. Examples:
    • Package designer with food industry background
    • Travel writer for online magazine
  • In the first paragraph, describe what kind of project it is, when you want it to start and finish, and so on. You may include any relevant information you wish, such as "No responses after (date)," "No phone calls," or "Include 'Oracle' in your subject line."
  • In the second paragraph, describe the skills and experience you seek. Provide enough detail for freelancers to judge whether they are qualified to respond.
  • Provide a phone or alternate response method if you wish. E-mail is preferred, because freelancers can include resumes, URLs, etc. with their response.
  • Include your name and company name.
  • If your posting is very general, we'll ask you to be more specific about your project and requirements before posting them to the list.
